September 27 Workshop

The Village of Mamaroneck invites residents and all other interested parties to an “open house” style workshop for the Village’s Comprehensive Plan Update on Thursday, September 27 in the Courtroom at 169 Mt. Pleasant Avenue from 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. People can drop in at any point during this time period.

The purpose of the workshop is to invite comments, suggestions, and ideas from the public for key topics within the Comprehensive Plan Update. Key topics include, but are not limited to: quality-of-life, village/neighborhood character, diversity and affordability, environmental sustainability and resiliency, and walking and bicycling.

These topics stem from the vision section of the 2012 Comprehensive Plan, which has been updated and expanded based on the community engagement that has taken place so far in the Village. This includes: input received from residents during the April 29 Clean & Green Day, the July 12 Avenue Block Party, stakeholder interviews, and a roundtable discussion with local high school students; the results of the Village Environmental Sustainability Questionnaire; comments received from residents through this website; and feedback from Village committees and boards.

Members of the consultant team, along with the Village Planning Department, will be on hand to facilitate discussion and solicit input on the topics and any preliminary recommendations presented.
